| REPSOL YPF PRESENTS ITS NEW SITE ON INTERNET
|
Alfonso Cortina, Repsol YPF Chairman
and CEO, today presented his companys new Internet web-site, "repsol-ypf.com".
This site is part of Repsol YPF strategy in the area of E-Commerce, and a
further step in the companys plans to exploit this "new
economy". This network stands out from others in
that it does not exclusively target the companys customers, but is addressed to
all Internet consumers and users, including those who do not buy Repsol YPF
products. It includes the corporate web and is intended to strengthen and
increase the capacity to attend current and future customers. There are seven channels, each
specially adapted to the audience targeted, with several levels of access.
Access is restricted in all areas referring to specific operations with
customers. The channels are as follows: Home page; Transport companies and
drivers; Service station operators; Lubricants, gas-oil and fuel-oil; Butane and
propane; Derivatives and specialties, and Chemicals. Through its web-site, Repsol YPF
communicates with individual and corporate customers (B2C and B2B), distribution
channels such as the service station operators and gas-oil and LPG distribution
companies (B2B), and Internet users in general (B2C). There will be a first stage in which
this site will facilitate information and transactions with transport companies
and drivers and service station operators, providing information on motor
vehicles, racing, leisure, travel and the home. Shortly, it will be possible to
place orders on-line, and there will also be on-line access to Customer Service.
The site incorporates all the usual services, such as e-mail, forums, chats,
etc. The importance of this Repsol YPF
web-site lies in the number of customer and users expected to generate a high
traffic density. Altogether, it is estimated that potential customers and
navigators in general will reach a figure of two million visitors to 8 million
pages a month. |
