This week, "Business Week" has published a special feature called "The Stars of Europe" dedicated to the changes taking place in the construction of the new Europe and the 50 businessmen leading this change.

The Chairman and CEO of Repsol YPF, Alfonso Cortina, has been chosen as one of these European "Turnaround Artists", representing the dynamism driving Europe today. This nomination is in relation to the transnational deal for the acquisition of YPF, which transformed an essentially local downstream company into a multinational oil major, with strong upstream activity.
