REPSOL YPF DISCOVERS NEW GAS RESERVES IN TRINIDAD
 

Repsol YPF and BP Amoco have discovered gas reserves estimated at 56,000 million cubic metres in south-east Trinidad. This discovery was made at the offshore Manakin-1 well operated by BP Amoco, in which Repsol YPF has a 30% stake.

This discovery is in deep water, 135 miles offshore.

Repsol�s percentage of the aforementioned net reserves will be 17,000 million cubic metres of gas (17bcm), and this is equivalent to the natural gas consumed in Spain during one year.
