The VISA REPSOL card was presented today at Repsol�s central offices in Madrid, in the presence of the company�s CEO, Alfonso Cortina.

This new VISA REPSOL card is part of Repsol�s policy to offer new and better services and products on the market, and is the result of an agreement between Repsol, and the BBV and "la Caixa" Groups. It is the first card of its type to be launched by an oil company in Spain.

The VISA REPSOL payment card provides special advantages to its holder: a 2% discount on fuel, services and other purchases made at Repsol, Campsa and Petronor service stations belonging to the Solred network. This represents over 3,200 sales outlets throughout Spain. Discounts will not be obtained at other service stations. The card also gives a 1% discount on all purchases from any of the 15 million establishments accepting payment by Visa, all over the world.

The type of card available responds to the whole range of Visa Cards: Visa Classic, Visa Gold and Visa Electron (the latter is a debit card only, against accounts at the BBV and "la Caixa" banks). The other cards may be requested without having to change from one bank or account to another, and payments may be domiciled at your usual bank. The VISA REPSOL card will be issued free of charge for the first year.

This new card has all the advantages of a Visa Card: payment by instalments, access to cash machines, cards for other account holders, accident insurance, etc.
