The concession area covers the geographical area of Toluca and six annexed municipalities: Lerma, Matepec, Ocoyoacac, San Mateo Atenco, Xonacatlan and Zinancantepec, with a total population of more than 650,000 inhabitants.

During the next five years, the company plans to increase its customers by approximately 50,000, and investments foreseen for the same period are 4,400 million pesetas, to be used to construct necessary infrastructure for transportation and distribution.

Upon obtaining this concession, the company owned by Repsol and Gas Natural has strengthened its position in Latin America, and specially in Mexico, where Gas Natural Latinoamericana already has the natural gas distributions for Nuevo Laredo and Saltillo.
