Algeria

In Algeria, Repsol YPF explores and operantes three areas: the Issaouane oil producing block, the Tin-Fouy�-Tabankort (TFT) gas field and the exploration block of Zirara with a net mineral property of 2,600 km2. Net proved reserves in Algeria total 123.4 million barrels of oil equivalent of which, TFT accounts for 67%. The daily net production is of around 17,378 barrels of oil equivalent.

The TFT field, located in the Southeast of Algeria, started to produce in March 1999, with an average production of 20 million m3/day of wet gas with a major share of liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) and condensate. The company�s total annual investment in Algeria in 1999 totaled 25 million Euros, 22 million in development activities and 3 million in exploration activities.
