THE BOUTIQUE THE WEATHER INTERACTIVE CAMPSA GUIDE
Recycle things all by yourself
by Susana Velasco
Tetrabricks, spent lightbulbs and used packaging are some of the objects that we place in recycling bins but which can be used to do handicrafts.

Take note of these interesting ideas that you turn into reality, with a bit of imagination
and skill.

Packaging:
Tuna cans: Have you ever thought of re-using tuna cans? All you have to do is file
down the edges, apply a layer of acrylic paint and you will have some very original candle-holders.

Yogurt containers: You can turn them into small holders for giving plants as gifts.
Just take off the label and paint them your favor color or pattern.

Water bottles: Cut off the bottom of a plastic bottle. File down the edge, decorate it with beads or other items (use glue and apply a layer of white paint when you finish) and voila, you have an attractive flower pot.

Hair conditioner bottles: In no time at all they will become a case for your glasses.

Cut off the bottom of a bottle of hair conditioner, file the edges and line the inside with adhesive velvet. Decorate the outside with felt or whatever paint you like, and use strips
of velcro to close the case.

Light bulbs: A idea that will delight children is to use spent lightbulbs as heads for dolls. You can paint them, add wool or raffia as hair, fashion the body with tulle or any other fabric and move them with a stick or paper-towel roll after glueing it to the light bulb.

Compact disks: You can make a very original curtain with  CDs joined by transparent nylon thread. Make several sections of different length. Then tie them to a pole so the CDs hang, forming a curtain that will make your friends envious.
