Utility: Get the maximum use of corners' space.
Difficulty: Easy
Cost: Low
Materials: - Arab-style wall lamp.
- Cable for electrical connection.
- Electrical tape.
Steps:
1. When you install the lamp, you have to do some splicing, taking a cable from the closest electrical outlet to connect it to the new cable. Use electrical tape. Taking steps so it is not visible, run the cable to lamp and staple it to the wall. Once you have finished the job, you can paint the cable so the staples are not seen.
2. Gather up old books you have lying around the house. Clean them with a soft brush. The way to do this is brushing page by page to get rid of the accumulated dust of years. Repeat the operation until the book gives off no more dust. If the covers are made of cardboard, clean them with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol. If they are leather, use a bit of lotion, rubbing quickly to reduce the grease and if they are made of fabric, a dry cloth should do the trick.
3. Spread the books unevenly in the wall space. This is a technique that livens up the space using just materials and color. The result is a corner full of light and color.
Advices: Under the lamp, place a small armchair so the corner will be a true place for literature and privacy.
