Utility: Giving a classically-decorated room a little distinction and an air of history.

Cost: Average
Materials: - Print with an old illustration.
- White glue.
- Wooden board (Half a centimetre thicker than the print).
- Walnut resin.
- A little flour.
- Brush, glass bowl for the mixture, sandpaper and file.
- Colourless wax.
Steps:
1. Dissolve a spoonful of walnut resin in a little cold water, with a pinch of flower, and heat up. Stir continuously until the mixture becomes smooth. Cool. Then stick the print to the board with white glue. This is easier if we use a cloth to spread the glue.
2.
Spread the walnut resin paste over the board with a fine brush, starting at the cenre and covering all parts. Leave to dry well.
3.
Once dry, sandpaper the edges of the board, including the print. It does not matter if the print breaks a little, as this will make it look older. The edges should end up completely deteriorated. Spread on more walnut resin front and back. If the print ends up dark, we can lighten it with a damp cloth. Once dry (12 hours), apply wax and polish.
Advices: Most effective in an entrance, study or bedroom. The rooms should be classic, as the prints used will be old illustrations, such as icons or maps for example. Religious illustrations can be bordered with golden metallic paint once finished, to suggest a frame.
