Recycling a wicker basket
Utility: To store clothes destined to be washed or ironed.
Difficulty: Average
Cost: Average
Materials:
- Large wicker basket.
- Fine wooden circle.
- Brightly colored canvas.
- Rubber band.
- Tape measure, thread and needle.

Steps:
1. Measure the height of the basket, and the diameters of the base and the part above it. Measure the amount of canvas needed to make three circles: one as the base and two for the cover, which will be lined. Add two centimeters extra for the seams.
2. Cut a rectangle of canvas as high as the basket, plus 15 centimeters more for it to stick out and attach to the edge. It is sewn to the base circle, and wrinkle it a bit so it is not tight.
3. To make the cover, use a wooden strip. So it is best to have it cut in a hardware store. The best kind is "tablex" because it is thin and strong. If you want to add a handle, it will be necessary to make two holes in the middle of the circle. Run a cloth through them and tie a knot. Line the circle and sew the two cloth circles, which you will have already cut.

Advices:
Can also be used as a table for a guest room or storing delicate items.
