Synopsis: Captain Benjamin L. Willard (Martin Sheen) is sent on a secret mission to Cambodia to find and kill Colonel Walter E. Kurtz (Marlon Brando). Aftering seeing the colonel's impressive resum� Willard questions his superiors motives while he begins the long trip that will lead him to Kurtz. During the trip he comes across Lt. Col. Kilgore (Robert Duvall) and a war photographer (Dennis Hopper) who introduces him to the colonel's horrific world. An astonished Willard sees how Kurtz has gone mad, establishing a reign of terror and being praised by natives as a god. Paradoxically, this exerts a strange sense of fascination over Willard.
