Synopsis: Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) is a middle-aged comedian who lives in New York City and has just broken up with his girlfriend Annie Hall (Diane Keaton), a young singer trying to make it in the music world. The separation causes Singer to look back on what destroyed the relationship. He thus recalls some of the most important moments of his life: his childhood and youth, his first two marriages with Allison (Carol Kane), a political activist, and Robin (Janet Margolin), a non-conformist intellectual, and when he first met Annie.
