Synopsis: In the late 40s, Mafia boss Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) celebrates the wedding of his daughter Connie (Talia Shire). It brings together his sons Sonny (James Caan), Freddie (John Cazale) and Michael (Al Pacino), and Corleone used the event to take care of some business with some of the guests. The big New York mafia families start fighting as their relations deteriorate, and Michael has to flee to Sicily where he gets married and stays until he learns about the death of Sonny in an ambush. Right after getting that news he watches his wife die in a car bomb blast meant for him. In New York, Don Vito calls a meeting of the five families to try to restore peace.
