They are the ideal place in which to spend a fun summer's day in the company of family and friends. Here are some of the biggest waterparks in Spain, located in the most popular summer resort destinations.

Aqualandia (Alicante)
An essential stop for all those who spend the summer in the popular tourist resort of Benidorm and surroundings. This waterpark is made up of different areas and attractions, the pick of which are Niagara, Atlantic Surf, Zig Zag, Kamikaze, Geiser, Rapids, Amazonas...

Parque Acu�tico Vera (Almeria)
Located on the Vera to Garrucha-Villarico motorway, this 70,000 square metre waterpark has a long list of attractions, including Kamikaze, a slide where you pick up vertigo-inducing speeds; Multipista, made up of four chutes so that you can slide down with others; Laberinto de Toboganes, full of spectacular twists and turns thanks to its spiral chutes or Black Hole, a showstopping attraction where you slide down a closed, black, twisting tube in complete darkness right up to the end.

Aquabrava (Girona)
Located at the entrance to Rosas, a tourist and marine centre located in the northeast of Catalonia and regarded as the tourist capital of the northern Costa Brava. Its main attraction is Europe's largest wave-based swimming pool. Measuring 100x80 metres, it features the latest wave-making technology to help you enjoy an original and exciting dip.

Aquopolis (Madrid)
Located in Villanueva de la Ca�ada, this waterpark has a long list of attractions, including Lago de Actividades, Piscina de Olas, El Estanque Dorado for the youngest and the exciting Super Slide, featuring sheer drops where the body slides down almost vertically.

Aquapark (Malaga)
Built in Torremolinos in 1984, this is the pioneering Spanish waterpark, and the biggest on the Costa del Sol. Its rides include the highest Kamikaze in Spain and a new area of attractions including the Black Hole and pools, as well as a wave pool, R�o Bravo, R�o Salvaje, Laguna Tropical, Twister, a small children's park, bubble bath, Seta Acu�tica, Lagos Ni�gara...

Aquacity (Palma de Mallorca)
Covering 207,000 square metres and 53,000 square metres of park, this waterpark has up to 16 different attractions, including Kamikazes, easy rides, R�o Bravo, a surfing beach or snorkeling school. If you want to relax, there is a large pool and an oasis of parks. There are also children's slides for the younger members of the family.

Aqualeon (Tarragona)
At an incomparable natural surroundings close to El Vendrel, this park offers an excellent combination of 60,000 square meter waterpark and a safari with over 600 animals and 60 different species, as well as a show of �boasting parrots, birds of prey and sea lions.
