The technology is based on that of transdermal patches, which are well known in the pharmaceutical industry. They were created to alleviate symptoms of menopause, chest pain, impotence and some addictions, among other things. They work by releasing medication in a fixed dosage over a set period of time.
The intradermal patch contains various vitamin complexes and botanical and floral extracts such as elder, marigold, cucumber or horsetail. These are mixed with honey and freeze-dried, and become activated when they touch moist skin.
Thanks to its moisturising and regenerative qualities, the system is used in facial treatments for wrinkles, spots and acne, for instance, and also to prevent or ease stretch marks or cellulitis, moisturise knees, elbows and hands, before a chemical peeling, after a facelift and both before and after an operation involving a laser.
Face patches These patches have the following advantages: - Raise skin moisture level by 30% - Mask wrinkles to the point of making the most superficial ones disappear - Stimulate synthesis of collagen - Improve the elasticity of skin fibers - Anti-oxidation capacity limits the damaging effects of free radicals on the skin, and activates microcirculation and skin regeneration
The facial dressings on the market now fit the shape of any face, are comfortable and easy to use and soft enough to wear as often as you want. The vitamins they contain (A, C, E and K) strengthen the skin and fight oxidation and hemorrhaging. The patches also tend to contain sodium (a moisturizer), honey (adds flexibility), phospholipids (retain moisture), collagen (moisturizer), elastin (regenerative), lactic acid (exfoliant), aloe vera (tranquilizer) and Q10 (anti-radicals).
They can be worn just like eye patches for a facelift effect, or on lips or elsewhere on the face to hide wrinkles and remove spots.
Body patches Thighs, buttocks, elbows and knees increase in volume sometimes, and their skin looks rough, dry and lifeless as a result of dehydration and insufficient circulation.
Scientists consider treating cellulitis with patches, either to prevent or alleviate it, as one of the most novel advances of biotechnology. Body dressings come in strips which, when placed on moist skin, interfere in the process of gas exchange, raising the temperature and encouraging the elimination of toxins. They accelerate and stimulate the destruction of accumulated body fat.
These patches contain vitamins A (strengthens), C and E (antioxidation agents), K (anti-hemorrhage), sodium (moisturizer), honey (adds flexibility), phospholipids (retain moisture), L-Carnitine, 5% Coaxel and caffeine (three lipid reduction agents), kelp (burns fat) and meliloti (acts as a drain for the lymphatic system).
The patches are used in treatments for stretch marks and cellulitis and as a toner. Also, for tired legs and as a complement for weight-loss therapies.
Where to get information We recommend you consult with a professional. Besides prescribing the proper treatment, they will set the right dosage, usually one treatment a week for at least a month. The results are evident in the first session.
