Choose the right place
If need be, the washing machine can go anywhere but it is best to remember a few norms:
o Usually in an apartment the washing machine goes in the kitchen. In a house with more space, you can fix up a place for it is a closet, balcony, garage, patio or special room.
o It is not a good idea to put it in the bathroom because of safety measures needed with electrical appliances. Of course, this is less of a problem if the bathroom is large.

The connections
o All modern washing machines connect the same way. They need pipes that feed them water. These are come incorporated into the machine, and end in a threaded, standard-diameter hose that connects to a 15-mm faucet. When you buy a new connection tap keep these measurements in mind.
o Another incorporated hose is the one that drains the machine. It must reach the U-joint drain of the house. If not, install a new drain. Its diameter is usually 38-40 m.
o The electrical connection should always be done with grounded outlets. These will come with the house. If the house is new remember that outlets used for powerful appliances involving water must respect certain safety norms and have their own differential.

Extending the water pipe
o Water will always be fed into the washing machine directly from a pipe. If this is not the case, things get a bit more involved but the job is still not all that complicated.
o To create a new water pipe or extend one, first turn off the water.
o Chip the wall until you get to the copper pipe. Measure and cut a length as wide as your� T-joint or elbow joint, if necessary. The new pipe will come out of here. At the end of the branch connect a faucet with a tap for security.

New drain
o If there is an existing water pipe all you need to do is check that the hose of the washing machine is long enough to reach it.
o If you don't have one the easiest thing to do is incorporate a drain of the appropriate diameter to the U-joint of the drain under the sink.
o Remove the U-joint and install a new one with a hole for the washing machine. They are made especially like that these days. Follow the manufacturer's instructions. In any case you must follow the same steps as if you were installing a new drain under a sink.
o If you have to add a new connection to the house's main drain, it is best to erect a vertical pipe that reaches it. In this way you will avoid backflow during washing. In the bottom part it should have a U-joint incorporated.

Installation
o With the pipes and drain set up, the installation of the machine itself can be done in just a few minutes.
o Remove the fastenings of the machine's tumbler, if it is new, before putting the machine in the chosen place.
o Sometimes there is an additional complication with the electrical connection. If you don't have easy access to it, first put the plug in place in the outlet. As a precaution you can turn off the differential in the mains box.
o Screw the hose onto the water pipe that comes out of the wall. Next put the drain hose in place. To avoid foul odors you can incorporate a watertight connector of the appropriate diameter. It is placed in the hose with a bracket and in the drain with glue or silicon.
o To avoid problems, cracks and premature wear and tear, make sure the washing machine is perfectly level. Use a level if necessary. All models have at least two adjustable feet so you can calculate the right level.
o Turn on the water switch and connect the electricity. To finalize the process do a test load.
