Utility: Create a very original bottle holder at home.
Difficulty: Easy
Cost: Low
Materials: - Clay bricks.
- Board.
- Wax for wood (also works for bricks).
Steps:
1. Find a space in which to locate the bottle holder and measure it. The board must match this length. Any corner will do. Place the bricks one by one and ensure they fit well. It does not matter if they do not reach the end of the space as only the front will be visible. Because of their weight the bricks will hold firm even if they do not fill the space completely.
2. When you reach the desired height, place the board on top (this does need to cover the space). This must be firmly fixed as it will be supporting weights. Paint the board or plank previously either with nogaline, if you are after a rustic look or in a light colour if placed in the kitchen or office.
Advices: You can use the space left in a fitted wardrobe, which you are not using; the space left by a closed door in the office or in a corridor. The board which covers the space can be used as a shelf, as a minibar or simply as a base for clay or ceramic objects. It is very simple to build and gives the room an original touch. We should try to introduce such original pieces of furniture in our homes, which, albeit relatively unimportant, attract the attention and give even the tiniest details a warm note.
