Utility: Keep the things arranged and brighten up your home.
Difficulty: Easy.
Cost: Low.
Materials: - Colored plastic paint.
- Rollers in two sizes.
- Wooden handles (available in do-it-yourself stores).
- Medium sandpaper for wood (if the wood is new).
- Primer (if it is recycled wood).
Steps:
1. Remove the drawer handles or doorknobs to work better. If the piece is new, and made of pine, for example, sand the surface until it is smooth. If the furniture is already painted, you have to put a layer of primer on that paint. On top of that you can paint whatever you want.
2.
Once dry, paint with lacquer-style shiny paint. Each department or drawer a different color, depending on what kind of furniture you are dealing with.
3.
Put the door handles or knobs back in place, after painting each one.
Advices: As each door or drawer is a different color, this is very useful in childrens rooms. It will help them learn their colors and leave things in respective place: clothes, toys, shoes, etc.
