Utility: Taking full advantage of an entrance with small dimensions.
Difficulty: Easy
Cost: Average
Materials: - Plaster or wood pedestal.
- Glass shelf.
- Silicone.
- White paint and flat varnish.
- Small brush.
- Scouring pad made with a esparto grass.
- Wall plugs and tenterhooks.
Steps:
1. If the pedestal is made of plaster, wipe it with the scouring pad to close pores. Apply several layers of paint and let it dry. Once dry, varnish it. (You can buy a painted pedestal in any do-it-yourself store).
2.
Hang the pedestal on the wall with the proper screws and plugs. Then apply silicone to the surface and stick the glass shelf on it.
Advices: Besides making the entrance cozier, this shelf comes in handy for leaving your keys or holding decorations or other small objects.
