Utility: Give a new use to an old flower stand.

Materials:
- Old an old flower stand; or a buy a new one made of pine.
- Various grades of sandpaper.
- Varnish, alcohol and a fine aluminum scouring pad.
Steps:
1. If the piece of furniture is old, clean it well with alcohol and rub it with the scouring pad. If it is new pine, the procedure is different: sand down the whole surface, first with rough sandpaper then with a finer grade, then with the thinnest of all. Repeat this operation until the surface of the wood looks smooth.
2. Prepare the stain with nogaline and water. Apply it with a small sponge so that is even on all sides. Let dry for several hours. Later, apply a first coat of varnish and let dry.
Repeat this operation until you achieve the color and shine you want.
Advices:
- You can place the table in any corner, in a large room or in the foyer.
- It is good not just for plants: on top of it you can place any object, such as an old bird cage, a framed picture or a ceramic piece.
- Also good for books, the telephone or old keys.
