Utility: Filling in the cracks you may have around a window and cheering up a room.
Difficulty: Low.
Cost: Low.
Materials: - Small square tiles (bathroom stores).
- Transparent silicon.
- Strong sandpaper.
Steps:
1. Measure the window and buy the tiles required. Their size should be calculated in relation to the surface, so that you dont have to cut any. Choose a colour that combines with the rest of the room: if it is a childs room the colours can be very bright.
2.
After removing the remains of paint and dirt, sandpaper the window frame. It is not placed around the edge, as it would then end up framed like a bathroom mirror.
3.
When the wall is smooth, apply a thin layer of silicone on to the tiles only, one by one, pressing them firmly on to the wall for a few minutes.
Advices: This is a very easy adornment to apply and over time it will cover up the imperfections of the wall caused by damp and other causes. |
