Utility: Renovate a childs bedroom and fill the room with brightness.
Difficulty: Low.
Cost: Low.
Materials: - Childrens textile.
- Borders of a deep colour.
- Curtain rod.
- Rawplugs, pliers.
Steps:
1. Measure the width and length of the window and cut around 10 centimetres more. Bend over the top section where the hooks will be inserted and machine stitch it.
2.
Place a wave stencil over the lower part and sketch in using a pencil. Cut carefully. The waves should be large so that they can be seen even when the curtain is drawn back. Make a border with the bies, except in the loop part, and machine stitch around.
2.
Make separate hook loops or thinner straps to make bows. The straps should be at least 30 centimetres to attach to the curtain rod so that they are loose enough to allow the curtain to be drawn back without any problems.
Advices: You can also use an old curtain and renovate it: by adding the waves and the borders you can convert it into a brand new curtain. |
