Tooth bleaching
An ultrasonic scaler and a bicarbonate jet are used to clean your teeth and deplaque your gums, after which an impression is taken of your mouth from which a flexible plastic mouthguard is made. Dentists may give you an intensive treatment of a bleaching agent, Carbamide Peroxide gel, in the chair, but most favour at home procedures in which the mouthguard is filled with Carbamide Peroxide gel and worn at night over the teeth.
Sessions. 2 to 3.

Results. Teeth yellowed with age and tobacco can be whitened with spectacular results. And grey teeth and those stained orange-brown can be considerably improved. Results last for around 5 or 6 years.

Porcelain veneers
The star treatment of modern cosmetic dentistry. The technique consists of covering the tooth with a porcelain veneer or laminate, and should only be carried out by an experienced professional.
Sessions. 3 two hour sessions.

Results. Teeth appear straight, since any natural defects are hidden, but look natural, even and not at all false. The veneers will not come unstuck or break and will last, in ideal conditions, for between 10 and 15 years.

A simple method which aims to smooth, contour and even up the edges of your teeth.

Results. Improves the line of your smile. Especially recommended if you have crowded, uneven teeth since cosmetic contouring makes your teeth look perfectly even.

Normally combines dental whitening and cosmetic contouring, although some kind of porcelain veneer work could also be included.
