Find out race by race the raults and impressions of the Asturian star after each Grand Prix.
German GP: One of my best starts (26/07/04)
"I do not know what happened on the last stint. I had no adherence at the front. After touching one of the kerbs everything was solved: it must have been a piece of chassis left on the track. Before the incident I had a great start, one of the best in my career and I was in an intense battle with Jenson Button. It was fun testing each other in this way and on this circuit. In the end I think it has been a good race for us."
Classification: 3rd
Starting grid: 5th

British GP: No points (12/07/04)
We could have done a lot better, but we missed out on the chance to enter the pits just after Jarnos accident. We did not react fast enough otherwise I would have got points. When you start at the back you expect a hard race. The traffic got in my way after each pit stop. The cars balance was very good, but the circumstances did not let us exploit our speed as well as we can.
Classification: 10th
Starting grid: 16th

French GP: Second behind Schumacher (05/07/04)
Second position is a dream come true. We knew before the race that the big favourite was Schumacher and that the podium had to be for us if we did things well. After Monaco I had four chances to get on the podium, but bad luck meant it was not to be. This is a well-earned result and in the second half of the season we are going to win more podiums. To beat the Ferraris you have to give everything and for them to have a little bad luck, because they are very  superior.
Classification: 2nd
Starting position: 1st

USA GP: Retirement costs him another podium (21/06/04)
Maybe I had done the best start in my life. I have slowed down very late on the first curve because I knew that my only opportunity to overtake was while starting and in box stops. It is difficult to explain what has happened in the accident. Everything has turned up in tenths, but I think that it has been a puncture. I am always near the podium, but my car has not managed to end the last races. Personally, I am very happy with my work. I am going to keep this level and I hope that I will be more lucky.
Classification: retired
Starting grid: 9th
