P.Solberg, 2003 champion

The fight for the World Championship was closer fought than in previous seasons. The Norwegian Petter Solberg took the title in the last race of the year, with just a point ahead of his nearest rival S�bastien Loeb. Carlos Sainz finished in a respectable third position in a season which promised a lot more.
