The eight horse powergained on the 2 496cc engine, a 155 bhp six cylinder in V unit that was mounted on the Superb until now, does not increase the consumption figures. In fact the acceleration and top speed figures have been improved with this power increase: standing start is now 9.2 seconds (9.5 for the 155bhp version) and 223kph top speed (219kph for the previous engine).

Skoda has also increased the range of optional parts that can be mounted on the Superb. For example, a new navigator is included, and this is shown on the radio screen with illuminated display in green and indication with a system of arrows. There is a television tuner available for the navigator too. This lets you watch TV on the same screen when the vehicle is stopped.
Finally, among the functional parts that are offered for the first time in the range of options, the most notable are thetinted side and rear central windows (these reduce heat and light transmission by up to 75%) and the new solar roof (with solar cells), that allow you to maintain a pleasant temperature in the interior of the car even though it is exposed to the sun |
