New lines for the Stilo in 2004

Fiat has updated the styling on the Stilo, on both the outside as well as the interior for 2004. And it has new engines for the already wider range. These will be on sale starting in 2004.

With respect to the external design, the most obvious modifications have affected the back part of the 5 door saloon. In fact, the designers at the Center Stile Fiat have redesigned the rear door and have eliminated the gap in the bumper and the rear fog lights have been moved (now they are built into the light clusters, which also have a new internal design). On the whole, these two modifications give the rear part of the Stilo 5 door a more refined and more harmonious image, in addition to accentuating the feeling of robustness.

The new model offers a wide range and above all, structured engine units: three petrol and four turbodiesel 'Common Rail' (one of them Multijet) with different qualities, all of them take complete advantage of the 5 or 6 speed gearboxes and in the case of the 2.4 20v, is combined with the sophisticated robotized Selespeed. The new range of the Fiat Stilo presents the latest creation of the Fire family: the 1.4 16v that produces a power of 95bhp at 5 800rpm and a maximum torque of 128Nm at 4 500rpm.

The second novelty on the range of engines is the powerful 140bhp 1.9 Multijet, the founder of the second generation of the 'Common Rail' units (the JTD 16 valve with Multijet technology) that the Group Fiat presented to the world for the first time in 2002. The turbodiesel develops a power of 140bhp at 4 000rpm and a generous torque of 305Nm at 2 000rpm.
