On the saloon versions like the Variant, the Advance trim is located between the Edition and Highline trims, substituting the existing Trendline and Comfortline versions. So the Passat range is made up of the Edition, Advance and Highline versions. The Advance trim is available with the 130bhp TDI versions, with both the manual 6 speed gearbox as well as the Tiptronic, and on the petrol: 130bhp 2.0 and the 150bhp 1.8 T and also with the sequential Tiptronic gearbox.

On the outside the Advance is notable for the 15 inch alloy Michigan rims and the new sport design with 7 spokes, as well as the lateral mouldings in the same colour as the body and with chromed touches. On the other hand, the interior comes with Tamo wood decoration on the dashboard and on both the three spoked sports steering wheel as well as on the grip of the hand brake there is leather.

The Advance equipment can also be appreciated on the details for comfort: adjustable front seats: height and lumbar. The front central armrest, Climatronic, the on board computer, Radio Beta etc. The launch of this version coincides with the introduction of some modifications to the whole range and so now they include new external rear-view mirrors with built in indicators, and the new upholstery colours that renew the whole of the range. |
