The PT Cruiser GT is equipped with the 2.4L high power Turbo capable of delivering 210bhp at 5 100rpm and a torque of 332Nm between 2 400 and 4 500rpm. According to Chrysler the turbocompressor that is cooled by oil and water was optimised from the beginning of the development process to elevate the reliability and durability of the engine. The engine on the PT Cruiser GT I turbo is connected to a resistant 5 speed manual Getrag gearbox.

As for the styling virtues, the front end in the same colour as the body shows new air intakes that are lower and larger. Also in the same colour as the body, the back end presents a large diameter chromed central exhaust with a specific decoration "GT 2.4L" on the rear door. On the other hand, the interior also incorporates a trim that is authentically turbo, with leather seats, silverplated dials with the speedometer marking up to 240kph and a rev counter with the decoration "2.4L Turbo".
