The 150bhp 1.8 Turbo, completes the range of the New Beetle Cabriolet that consists of two more petrol units, a 102bhp 1.6 and a 115bhp 2.0 litre, and a 100bhp 1.9 TDI with pump-injector system. The new five valve unit is available with a manual five speed gearbox and is outstanding because of its acceleration, 0 to 100kph in 9.3 seconds, and a top speed of 202kph.

The recently arrived engine unit for this range also has an extensive set of standard equipment, whose most notable feature is its active and passive safety systems.
