The Colt CZ3 will be launched in the first quarter of 2005. The exterior look on the Colt CZ3 is a more dynamic expression of the new design on the Colt. So, it boasts unique exterior panels (except on the bonnet and the front wings), a windshield with a lower angle (26�), a lower roof line, a more aggressive treatment on the body volumes, wide wheel arches, larger doors and rear windows with water drop shapes.

In the interior the Colt CZ3 also offers a type of seat flexibility that is different from the one used on the Colt five door. In agreement with its sports feel owners of the Colt CZ3 will enjoy semi-bucket seats in the front, exclusive to the three door Colt. Moreover, it presents a more functional image on the interior with the introduction of a specific black �Individual Sport�, upholstery with a digital design included.

It will be launched onto the market with two groups of engines. On the one hand, the petrol, with three different units (all of them DOHC, that include the "MIVEC" made by Mitsubishi with variable valves): a 75bhp 3 cylinder 1.1 litre; a 95bhp 4 cylinder 1.3 litre; and a 109bhp 4 cylinder 1.5 litre. The diesel range offers two new units with Common rail direct diesel injection, DOHC with turbo-compressor and intercooler: a 95bhp 3 cylinder 1.5 litre and a 68bhp 3 cylinder  1.5 litre. Both families will be available with either a manual 5 speed gearbox or with a 6 speed AMT gearbox (Automated Manual Transmission).
