The Primera reinforces its personality

Three years after its arrival Nissan has renewed the Primera. The Japanese company adds a series of important improvements, a new updated technology and improved dynamic qualities to the saloon to reinforce its character.
On the outside of the Primera range for 2005, only three new colours are added (Polar Blue, Green Tecno and Dark Grey) to the current design. The changes are concentrated on the interior and are presided over by the N-Form system, this brings an intuitive control of the auxiliary functions on the car and also helps to make the drive more pleasant. Moreover the interior is now more practical, more ergonomic and more comfortable.

Yet, the main improvements are on the front and rear running gear. The suspension settings - with exclusive solutions such as the efficient Nissan rear multilink axle - has been reviewed along with the power assisted steering which has gained in effectiveness and comfort. Moreover, the latest generation of stability control, the ESP8 made by Bosch, is available on some engines and works together with the ABS to improve the braking and the high dynamic capacity of the Primera.

It is available with three types of body - 4 and 5 door with a length of 4.57m, and the Sportwagon, that measures 10cm longer. The Primera is on offer with the choice of five engines, three petrol (a 1.6 with 109bhp, a 1.8 with 116bhp and a 2.0 with 140bhp, the latter is the top of the range and is available with the exclusive gearbox system with continuous speed variator known as Hypertronic CVT-M6) and two common rail turbo-diesels (a 120bhp 1.9 dCi and a140bhp 2.2 dCi)
