DaimlerChrysler introduces Dodge in Europe
DaimlerChyrsler has announced at the current Detroit Car Show that they have scheduled the launch of the American Dodge make on European markets. So Dodge will become, after Chysler and Jeep, the third make from the group to be marketed outside the American markets.
BMW, sales record in 2003
The BMW Group has set a new record in 2003, with an increase in sales for all their makes. Altogether last year there were more than 1.1 million BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce vehicles delivered. Helmut Panke, President of the Management Council at BMW AG, talked about this achievement during the press conference held at the Detroit Show with these words: " Last year we fulfilled our expectations totally and we demonstrated once again what the BMW Group is able to do ".
The Megane leads Renault�s success in 2003
Last year Renault maintained their sales lead in Europe, in the segment of cars and commercial vehicles, with a 11.1% market share, thanks to the success of the models: M�gane, Espace, Clio and Trafic. In addition, the group continued its expansion outside Western Europe, registering a growth of 9% in sales. In 2004, Renault hopes to get a market share similar to the one in 2003, via a more selective commercial policy.
Tenth anniversary of Mercedes-Benz driving courses
In 2003 it was the tenth anniversary of the first Mercedes-Benz safe driving courses. Now the German company, after all this time, claims to be "The only car company that organises safe driving courses for its complete range of industrial vehicles and cars". And it does not stop there, because in 2003 more than 1 600 participants took part in 100 courses.
Entire Solutions, LLC is born
Michelin and TRW Automotive have created Entire Solutions, LLC, a result of a joint venture each having a 50% share. This company, based in the USA, is specialised in the development of tyre pressure control systems for car and truck factories. After the presentation of the new joint venture, Michelin has announced that various manufacturers have opted to use the new company.
