| The new norms making the use of restraint systems for minors under the age of twelve travelling in cars obligatory, will not be enforced for taxis according to the Spanish Traffic Department. However, the only condition that the government imposes is that taxi journeys can only take place in cities and with the children in the rear seats. |

| Dipped lights, obligatory in France even in daytime |
| The French Government will oblige drivers to use dipped headlights on French roads from 30th October except in city centres. At the moment, the measure will be on test between the months of October 2004 and May 2005. After the test the French Government will determine the exact details of the regulations. |

| According to a study into reliability, the Lexus mark for the tenth consecutive year is the most valued in the United States. This study of reliability by the prestigious company J. D. Power, VDS (Vehicle Durability Study), measures the level of satisfaction of owner/drivers of vehicles during the first three years of the car. The study was made by asking the opinions of 48 000 people who have owned cars since 2001. |

| The International Equipment and Components Show for Motortec 05, has started marketing its eighth edition and the main novelty will be the change of dates so that it fits in better with other international shows in the automotion sector.
