| The BMW X3 adds a new engine to its range as of September. This is a 2.0d and so for the first time BMW will offer a four cylinder unit on this SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) which is adapted to off-road use. With a piston displacement of 2 litres this latest generation direct injection Common rail diesel engine develops a peak power of 150bhp at 4 000rpm. The X3 2.0d will be on sale from �36 900. |

| The 241bhp 3.2 litre V6 engine replaces the current 220bhp unit on the Volkswagen Touareg, and so the vehicle increases its performanc. This Touareg V6 is still available with two types of gearbox, a manual six speed and another automatic sequential - Tiptronic type, with six speeds too. The prices for the Touareg 241bhp 3.2 V6 are �48 630 for the manual version and �50 970 for the Tiptronic. |

| The Generalitat de Catalunya (regional government) has awarded the Fiat Idea the `Car of the year 2004' prize in Catalunya. The prize was given by the Generalitat�s Labour and Industry Advisor, Josep Maria Ra��, who emphasized the great links that Fiat has always had with Catalunya during her speech, pointing out the importance of the Italian company in the industrialisation of the region. |
