According to the Direcci�n General de Tr�fico � Traffic Department - around 43 000 drivers between 14 and 24 were involved in traffic accidents in Spain in 2001. Around a thousand young drivers lost their lives and around 44 000 were injured to varying degrees in traffic accidents.
