| China and Japan interchange their dates |
| The Chinese and Japanese sports authorities have decided to exchange their race dates, these had been approved in the definitive calendar for Formula 1 in 2006. So, the Chinese GP will be on 1st October, whereas the Japanese race is one week later. This is the first modification to the International Automobile Federation�s calendar that was approved on 24th October in Rome. |

| Prize for the Renault aerodynamics |
| Dino Toso, head of the aerodynamics section at Renault Formula One, has been awarded the prize " Aerodynamic of the Year" by a jury consisting of technical experts working in Formula 1. London was the venue selected by the magazine Race Tech to host the prize giving ceremony, and Toso took advantage of the award to thank his work group for the excellent work done by them. "This is a well-earned recognition for their hard work" he commented. |

| Volkswagen could be in F1 |
| The Audi-Volkswagen alliance could get a team into Formula 1, according to what has been published in the German newspaper `TZ'. This information indicates that the group would enter the competition via a collaboration agreement with the �Squadra Toro Ross� team in 2009 or 2010. If the two manufacturers decide to enter Formula 1, the large investment of capital that this operation requires may mean that they cannot participate in the DTM and the Rally Dakar. |

| Mansell, first winner in the GP Masters |
| Nigell Mansell, of the World Formula 1 Champion in 1992, was the winner of the first race in the GP Masters, held at the South African circuit of Kyalami. The British driver started off from pole and he beat Emerson Fittipaldi by a few thousandths of a second. This competition brings together veteran racing stars. A few days before the first race Alain Prost decided not to take part. |

| Midland will test with Markus Winkelhock |
| Markus Winkelhock, third in this year�s World Series by Renault, will take part in the training sessions that Midland will do at Jerez de la Frontera on 10th December. The German driver, 25 years of age, said that this would be a fantastic occasion but that he will not feel any type of pressure. The boss of Midland, Collin Kolles, was proud to offer him his first contact with a Formula 1 car and said that he is dying to see how he gets on at the Spanish track. |
