Valentino Rossi is the rider with more victories in the Catalunyan Circuit, a total of five (one in 125cc and two in both categories, 250cc and 500cc). The Italian rider was the first rider getting victories in the three categories last year and in 2002 with a four strokes Honda bike, has been once again the best. Carlos Checa has been sure of his victory at the beginning but on the second half has been overtaken by Rossi. Ukawa, with another Honda bike, has followed Rossi close but Checa has not managed to do so. �The Spanish rider has made his best with his machine and in the last 8 laps has lost more than half a second to Tohru Ukawa.

250 cc.

The Aprilian rider Marco Melandri has made a great performance showing his superiority. The fight between Rolfo, De Puniet and Fonsi Nieto for a second place has ended with the victory of the former rider. The Spanish Toni El�as after a good start has been loosing places and has ended on a 10th position.

125 cc.

Daniel Pedrosa has made the best race in his life although he has been overtaken in the last meter of the race when Poggiali has taken advantage of his Honda machine to make a 19 thousandth of a second distance. Pedrosa has adopted a different strategy attacking right from the beginning. The rider has been fighting against the World-Champion until the end but his bike has not given him the chance to win. His Teammate, Joan Oliv�, has obtained the best position in the World-Championship with a 6th place and Jorge Lorenzo is the youngest rider who has added first points. The Derbi rider has ended in a 14th position

More than 90.000 spectators have been following this spectacular race and �lex Crivill�s honoured laps to the Catalunyan Circuit. The crowd has enjoyed the homage and goodbye to Crivill� riding the Repsol Honda bike which gave him the 1999 World-Championship victory in the 500cc category . Crivill� has showed his emotion dropping out some tears. It has been one of the happiest days in his life.��
