Malaysian GP:Two champions and another on the way
Rossi and Pedrosa were the two stars at the Malaysian GP as they became this seasons World Champions in 125cc and MotoGP, respectively. First was Dani, in his third year in the WSC, and then Rossi with his fifth, the third consecutive in the top category. Toni Elas plans to join them after winning his fifth race of the year.

Valentino came to see the title and conquer it, He lowered the pole time from last year and ater that there was no doubt about the winner. Sete Gibernau led until lap 8 but after that there was only one bike and rider, ridden by a great champion. Rossi crossed the line with a two second margin, with two races left this season he has repeated what he did last year and now looks to the future more calmly. Wionning the championship by winning the race is the best way to do it and this is the fourth time I have done it. Each title has a different story, but I think this has been the best because I won it in a season with great races and the most evenly balanced to the end and so the satisfaction is even greater, said Rossi, who has always been on the podium this season.

Like a great champion, with two races left and with more than two seconds over those chasing him, Daniel Pedrosa was also crowned World 125cc Champion today. He was 18 just a week ago. The Malaysian GP will be memorable for him. Last year in Sepang he had to say farewell to the WSC after a fall during training and an appeal from Gilera which left him third. Dani succeeds Emilio Alzamora on the throne, the last Spanish champion in the category in 1999, and is the youngest ever in Spanish history and the second youngest ever in the 54 years of this competition, the other being Loris Capirossi in 1990, being 17 and 165 days.

Dani was crying when he passed the line after the three previous frustrating races, mechanical problems had delayed his coronation. Dressed in a T-shirt that reached his knees and holding a Spanish flag he jumped off his bike to embrace Alberto Puig who was also crying. The transfer on his shirt, a doll with a dummy a great replica of the boy who had grown in the races over these three years and who now was the pick of the bunch.

I cannot describe this, it is fantastic. Since I was a boy my dream was to be a rider, winning races and some day to be champion. A few days will have to pass for me to realise what has happened and what it is to be a champion, I am trembling all over. With his face still wet with tears Dani wanted to thank all the people who have helped me and who gave had confidence in me. The team because they gave me a chance and Honda after all these years together, Repsol, and my team after the great job that they have done with the bike and for showing me how to work, and my family for always being at my side and a special thanks to Alberto Puig. Without any off these I would be watching the races on TV.

The Finn Mika Kallio and Jorge Lorenzo were on the podium with him. Jorge may be able to inherit the crown next year. He is doing really well and he has a good bike, although Hctor Baber and many others such as Kallio can win, is Danis opinion. He has a big challenge ahead of him with the move up to 250cc..

This is Toni Elass category, he has a ray of hope. He won easily again ahead of Manuel Poggiali and a Fonsi Nieto who tried to be a good team mate. Toni is not giving up hope after that unlucky fall in Brazil, and now he is 25 points from Poggiali, not unsurmountable. Elas will fight to the line and the next objective is Australia next week. Fonsi was only 11 thousandths behind the San Marino man. The objective was to help Toni as much as possible, stalk Poggiali and upset his ride. He only managed to get away at the last moment but in Australia I am going to be his shadow right to the end, Nieto promised.
