Dani Pedrosa and Sebastin Porto will be fighting for the title in 250cc. This seems quite clear at this stage of the season. After the British GP, in which Pedrosa gave a maestro exhibition, the positions are clarified in the World Championship. Pedrosa is the leader ahead of Randy de Puniet and Porto is third, eighteen points from the French rider. However, the Argentinian is quicker and more effective and his results are regularly more outstanding. Pedrosa is the surprise and it has broken all predictions. It is not necessary to know a lot about bikes to understand it, however, and when they are seven races left until the end of the season, it seems clear that Porto will get nearer soon because, being a quicker rider has moderated the impulses that have made him make two or three important mistakes. The current Porto is calmer and more analytic than that of the start of the season. He knows when he has to go fast and when not to and this is noticeable in his results. Therefore, an interesting end to the season awaits us with the doubt whether riders such as Elas, Poggiali, Nieto or de Angelis will be able to get into the battle for victories. After the holiday period the next race will be in Brno at the end of August.
