Alzamora, World 125cc Champion in 1999, will be the star at an act that will be held at the Museo Melcior Colet in Barcelona also present at this tribute will be Josep Maldonado, Secretary General of Sports at the Catalunyan Government; Angel Viladoms, president of the Catalan Federation of Motorcycling; and Fidel Sust, General Director of the Circuit de Catalunya.

The rider, who made his debut in a WSC race in Malaysia in 1994, has participated throughout his career in 128 GP�s and has achieved four victories, getting onto the podium on 26 occasions (he finished second thirteen times and third thirteen times ).

After his success in 1999, Emilio Alzamora gave the jump to the 250cc category in 2001 but returned to 125cc last season with Derbi. Alzamora announced his retirement on 2nd November, at the last date in the WSC calendar -�the race at the Circuit de La Comunidad Valenciana Ricardo Tormo, .
