Gibernau stays optimistic

The podium he got at Donington Park has given Sete Gibernau his confidence back. The Catalunyan rider was visiting the Forum in Barcelona and there he made it clear that he is still fighting to win the championship We are going to fight more than ever for the title.

Last years runner-up in MotoGP made a trip of 39 kilometres from Castelldefels to the Frum on a jet ski where he met up with several sports journalists who accompanied him to the Olympic Games Port site. Sete had fun. "Today is a day to enjoy and moments like this well received after four months without time to breathe" he commented before explaining his plans for the summer "I will be a short time in Switzerland taking care of my physical condition and one week I will dedicate to be with my friends taking it easy".

His optimism is still whole. "So far I believe that we have more than fulfilled what we set out to do, except for two errors that have turned out to be expensive in points. I believe that the best thing is yet to arrive. The team has grown a lot and all the experience gained in the first part of the championship will help us to fight more than ever for the title. I am dying for the race in the Czech Republic to begin" said a smiling Gibernau.

The Telefnica Movistar Honda rider has been a title contender all season, although his options took a blow after two consecutive falls in Brazil and Germany. His disadvantage with respect to Rossi is not excessive, 22 points, but the regularity of the Italian means that to shorten this gap will be very hard work. Gibernau needs to get back on the victory trail after the French GP.
