| Poggiali is on a stamp from San Marino |
| Manuel Poggiali became the World 250cc Champion last season and is the most famous sportsman from San Marino. So much so that the postal service of the republic has decided to use his image on one of their stamps in homage to his great season. The stamp will be on sale for �1.55 and together with Poggiali�s image will be his bike, the Aprilia RSW 250. |

| The RACC pays homage to Pedrosa and Alzamora |
| The Real Automovil Club de Catalunya (RACC) has given a prize to all their sponsored sportsmen, 58 in total, of which 13 are bike riders. Dani Pedrosa, World 125cc Champion; Laia Sanz, World Trial Champion; Juli�n Sim�n; Emilio Alzamora; Rub�n Xaus; Pere Tutusaus; Toni El�as; Jorge Lorenzo; Pol Espargar� and Joan Oliv� were all at the gala. Pedrosa and Alzamora received a homage each, the former for his title and the second for his sporting career as he is now retired from competition. |

| Pere Riba is going to the UK |
| Pere Riba, who was riding for Luis D�Antin in MotoGP 2002, will race in the UK Supersport championship next season in the MSS Kawasaki team, after the company announced their unexpected and unilateral retirement from the category. Riba had one year left on his contract with Kawasaki and the Japanese company has reached an agreement to get him into that team. |

| A ballad for Rossi |
| Marco Lucchinelli, who was World 500cc Champion in 1981, is a MotoGP commentator on the Italian Eurosport channel, bur also a well-known singer. The ex rider has just released his latest single whose subject is Valentino Rossi. After writing two songs for Franco Uncini and Carl Fogarty, Marco was inspired by the World MotoGP Champion and hopes to get a hit with his song Vale � di pi�. |

| Emilio Alzamora is recovering after an operation |
| The World 125cc Champion in 1999, Emilio Alzamora, who recently announced his retirement from competition, is recovering at home in Lleida after an operation on his knee ligaments. Alzamora, operated on last 10th December in Barcelona, hopes to be able to announce his future plans very soon; working as director of a team of young riders. |
