| The new statutos COE worry the RFEM |
| Juan lvarez, president of the Federacin Espaola de Motociclismo and vice-president of the Comit Olmpico Espaol (COE), thinks that the reform of statutes approved by this body "has opened a schism between the two federations" and all of them will end up losing. "The non-Olympic federations will show us the door at least as soon as somebody speaks. A schism has been opened and all the federal movement will end up losing. The reform of the statutes, that gives more weight to the Olympic federations as opposed to the non-Olympic ones, by four votes to one in all the discussions, was approved by exactly the number of votes required, after one long discussion where the barrier was two thirds of the votes. |
