Stoner wants to race again at Brno
Casey Stoner is slowly forgetting the fractured clavicle that he got at the Sachsenring and he is ready to race again at the Republic Czech GP, the first date after the summer break. �Missing the last few races has been very hard� recognises the Australian who has been recovering at home. �A protector is being designed for my shoulder and I hope it is ready for the race at Brno, because I am dying to get back on the track�.
The FIM approves the circuit in Qatar
The circuit of Losail, situated in Qatar, has received definitive approval from the FIM. Claude Denis, their inspector of circuits; and Hans Kreutz, medical inspector of the FIM, were impressed by the equipment at the circuit which is in the suburbs of the capital Doha. This track will make its debut in the WSC on 2nd October, after having been constructed in only thirteen months and with an investment of $58m.
Sabbatini will not race at Brno
Max Sabbatani is recovering from the fall he had in training at the British GP, he fractured his right femur, and cannot race at Brno. The date for his return is not known. �Max will undergo a long recovery and he will have to retire from racing temporarily� says the press release from the team. His substitute will be Gerg� Talmacsi, Gabor�s brother who rides in 125cc.
Matsudo will test with WCM
Naoki Matsudo is going to test the WCM bike on the Monday before the Czech Republic GP. Peter Clifford, team director, has signed an agreement with the Blata company so that they can develop the prototype of the V6, the bike that they will participate in the WSC 2005 with and which will be ridden in Brno by the Japanese man. "Racing in MotoGP is my dream. I have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time and now I have the chance to make it come true" said a happy Matsudo.
West, in the World Supersport
Anthony West changed motorbikes between the races in Donington and Brno racing in a date in the World Supersport at the UK circuit of Brands Hatch. The Australian crossed the finishing line in ninth position. �What I did basically was to have a bit of fun. This was a new experience for me and something different� explained the rider from the Team Zoppini Abruzzo.
