| Torque curve |
The graph representing the torque that the engine develops during its operation at different revs is called in this way. Torque curves will be flatter or sharper according to the type of engine. The peak torque indicates the moment where the best filling of the cylinder is achieved.

| Torsen |
A type of differential sensitive to the torque used on four wheel drive vehicles to distribute the torque between the two axles. It is different from the rest of the differentials because it can distibute the forces independently of the speed of each axle. It is made up of three pairs of helicoidal gears that engage with each other on straight teeth at their ends. The capacity of slip on a Torsen depends on the angle of the teeth. It can transmit more torque to the wheel that turns least on a curve.

| Torsion bar |
This is a spring that is used in the suspension and consists of one or several bars. It is placed between the wheel and the chassis of the vehicle and absorbs the irregularities of the ground when twisted on its axis. One end of the bar is fixed to the body while the other turns with the suspension.
