An engine where the air enters the chamber because of the effect of atmospheric pressure. The air is drawn towards the chamber when the pistons descend and the admission valves are open.

This is the mode of operation of an engine that uses atmospheric pressure to pump the air towards the cylinders. and so it is not equipped with compressors.
