| Average piston speed |
|
In their alternative journey the piston moves two careers for each turn of the crankshaft. This displacement is carried out with accelerations and variable speeds. The biggest speed corresponds when the piston is in half of the career. while the points of smaller speed are in the ends of the career. The stocking of all the instantaneous speeds of the piston allows to obtain the half speed. This fact is important to determine the forces of inertia that arrive to the piston when the motor is rotating to maximum power or the limit of the revolutions. In conventional motors the half speed usually oscillates between 10 and 20m/s.
