| Turbulence |
|
A whirlpool of air that is used to improve the distribution of fuel in the mixture. It achives a more homogeneous mix of air and fuel. It also lets the burnt particles to enter in contact with those that are not yet burnt and improving their propagation. Thee are two types of turbulence: the peripheriacal ones caused by giving the air a whirlpool movement when they enter the admission duct (swirl) and small turbulences (squish) which are caused by a certain type of piston head design.

| Twin links |
|
A type of joint which joins one end of the leaf spring to the chassis on the vehicle. Thanks to this the spring stretches when the drive axle moves vertically.

| Twin Spark |
|
A system where eac cylinder has two spark plugs to ease combustion and to make it more efficient and fast. It is used by Alfa Romeo on their "Twin Spark" cars.
