Ratio between the quantity of air entering the engine for combustion and what should enter for a correct stoichoimetric mixture. When the value is one the mix of air and fuel is correct. If the value is over one the mix has excess air and the mix is lean. If the value is lower than one the mix has a lack of air and the mix is rich.

Term that refers to the loss of braking efficiency because of high temperatures originating from the constant use of the braking system on a vehicle. The loss of braking sensitivity is due to the brake liquid boiling or heating because of friction on the brake pads and discs/drums.
